Manufacturing Scheduling using Evolutionary Algorithm
Currently, manufacturing planning in industrial plants is being managed by a human planner, who is 100% dedicated to this task. Existing MRP systems usually provide tools which help organize and maintain the required data needed for decision-making while planning (for example BOM – Bills of Material, forecasts and capacity). Other than that, the manufacturing scheduling process is being done manually. Our goal is to provide a web application platform for industrial scheduling, which uses Evolutionary Algorithm for building an optimized weekly-scheduling-program. This kind of tool will transform the scheduling process to an automated, cheaper and efficient one, therefore enabling manufactures to save resources such as manpower and time.
