As a result, restaurants over-order ingredients that go to waste, or schedule too many or too few employees.Our project, CostWise, aims to build a smart restaurant management platform on AWS that helps managers plan their operations efficiently. The system analyzes historical restaurant data with external factors such as weather and holidays to estimate future demand. Based on these predictions, the platform can recommend how much inventory should be ordered and how many employees should be scheduled for upcoming shifts.The main innovation is the combination of inventory planning and workforce scheduling in a single platform. While many tools focus on only one area, our system integrates both to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
