One of the challenges in diagnosing pancreatic cancer is its similarity in symptoms to type 2 diabetes (T2D), which presents a significant obstacle to timely detection. These similarities present difficulties in distinguishing between the two diseases, ultimately delaying the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Late-stage detection of pancreatic cancer is deadly, because of that the need for improved diagnostic strategies is critical. Addressing this issue may enhance patients’ outcomes and reduce the mortality rate of pancreatic cancer.
