Food waste is a global challenge that continues to significantly impact environmental, economic, and social domains. Every year, millions of tons of food are discarded, while millions of people suffer from malnutrition and hunger. This disparity underscores the need to create a more efficient system for resource management and waste reduction.

In response to this challenge, we developed "FoodLink" – a dedicated digital platform designed to address the issue of food waste and transform surplus food into a valuable resource that serves both society and the environment. The application is aimed at vulnerable populations and offers diverse solutions tailored for the entire community – from food donors such as households, restaurants, and supermarkets, to individuals, organizations, institutions, and communities interested in donating or consuming food in a conscious and sustainable way.

"FoodLink" is a user-friendly app that allows donors to upload details about surplus food and enables recipients to search for donations using an interactive map. The platform leverages AI-based smart matching to optimize food distribution according to location, preferences, and nutritional needs. This creates an efficient and direct communication channel between donors and recipients.
