Our project tackles the environmental and economic "inefficiency of ownership" - where expensive tools and gear sit unused - through a peer-to-peer (P2P) equipment rental application. To make sharing intuitive and engaging, the platform features a unique user interface inspired by popular dating apps. Users can easily swipe through available items in their local area, instantly "matching" owners with borrowers. By combining this gamified, friction-free experience with community-driven principles, we aim to build local trust, reduce waste, and promote a sustainable circular economy where short-term access replaces the need for permanent ownership.
